About adonterminal
adonterminal is a spend tracker for AI coding tools. It answers one question developers keep asking: "what is this actually costing me?" It pulls usage from the tools you already use — Claude Code and Cursor — and shows your tokens and dollars in one dashboard.
How we get the data
A small local helper (the "collector") runs on your own machine. For Claude Code it uses the tool's official OpenTelemetry export; for Cursor it reads Cursor's own local session database to detect activity and estimate usage. Nothing leaves your machine except the aggregated usage figures you choose to sync to your dashboard.
What adonterminal is not
- It is not a way to earn money by watching ads. The dashboard is supported by ordinary display ads; we never pay you, or give you credits, for viewing them.
- It does not read your code or your prompts to advertisers. The site shows your spend; ads are contextual, not based on your source code.
- It does not require your AI provider passwords. It reads local usage data the tools already write to disk.
How the site is funded
The dashboard and these guides are free and supported by Google AdSense display advertising. That keeps the core tracker free to use. See our privacy policy for how advertising and data work.
